A month

  • Make arrangements for your children
  • Dispose the items that you weren’t able to sell, for example, inflammable materials.
  • Set up a sale at the garage or somewhere else
  • Contact the charity organizations to come pick up items that you won’t needed; ensuring that you collect receipts for such donations.

Two weeks

  • Inspect your vehicle.
  • Cancel all current subscriptions.
  • Inform the necessary authorities of your new domicile’s address
  • Arrange enough medical supplies
  • Return whatever you might have borrowed from people
  • Transfer any medical report or prescriptions.

One Week

  • If the moving would be done by you, try to finish your packing
  • Take your pets to a veterinarian for  checkup and immunizations
  • Drain out oil and gas from power sources.
  • Carefully peruse the safe-deposit  box
  • When movers are used, prepare to answer their questions are regards packing
  • Disconnect any large appliance and pack it carefully.
  • Settle your debts and bills with any business firm.

  • Defrost your refrigerator and/or freezer, and ensure that you prop their doors
  • If you have a water bed, drain it.
